This Privacy Policy explains how ATSify ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our resume optimization assistant at atsify.dev.

1. What Information We Collect

We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. We do not require you to create an account or provide any identifying information to use the Service.

However, we may collect the following data as part of your usage:

Resume content and job descriptions that you enter into the tool
Anonymous usage data via analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude)
Session data stored locally in your browser (e.g. current editor state)
Any information you voluntarily send to us via email (e.g. support inquiries)

We do not store or transmit email addresses or names unless you include them in your resume content.

2. Cookies & Local Storage

We use:

Cookies via Amplitude for usage analytics
LocalStorage to preserve your resume and job description inputs across sessions

We do not track you across other sites or use cookies for advertising.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely for the following purposes:

To optimize your resume based on job descriptions using OpenAI's API
To analyze anonymized usage patterns via Amplitude to improve the tool
To respond to your support emails via Zoho Mail (if you contact us)

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following processors to help operate ATSify:

OpenAI	Process resume and job content via API
Amplitude	Anonymized usage analytics
Lemon Squeezy	Payment processing (no personal data handled directly by us)
Zoho Mail	Email communication only (e.g. support)

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

5. Data Storage

Your resume and job descriptions are not stored on our servers
Content remains only in your browser's local cache
When processing resumes, the content is transmitted directly from the frontend to OpenAI's API endpoint via our hosted Next.js middleware (no backend storage or logs)
We do not retain any optimization results

6. Children's Privacy

ATSify is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect or process data from children under 18.

7. Data Subject Rights (GDPR / Global)

While we do not store user data, you may contact us at any time to:

Ask questions about our data practices
Request deletion of any info you sent via email

8. Legal Basis and Jurisdiction

We process personal data under the lawful basis of legitimate interest (resume optimization, usage analytics) and performance of a service requested by you. Any disputes or concerns are governed under the laws of Germany.
